Rovunela ยท Venue visit information
Privacy Policy
Effective: 26 October 2026
1. Operator and service
Rovunela helps you organize venue entrances, passages, visit conditions, notes, photographs and spoken descriptions for a gathering. After you accept the terms, the app establishes a server session using a random device UUID stored locally and in the iOS Keychain. It does not require email registration or a password. Your display name, selected avatar, venue records and attached media are uploaded when synchronization succeeds; a display name is not a verified identity. There is no public venue directory, social feed or collaboration service.
Rovunela operates this service. Contact us at Rovunela@gmail.com.
2. Information you add
Depending on the features you use, your device may store venue and gathering names, dates, entrances, destinations, passage connections, opening conditions, questions and answers, sources, observation dates, revisions, photographs, selected images, voice recordings, profile display preferences and exported briefing files. These may reveal a location or identify people if you choose to include that information.
Rovunela does not request your contacts or precise location. It does not identify faces, assess accessibility compliance, record ambient audio, transcribe speech, train AI models, run advertising profiles or use cross-app tracking.
3. Device permissions
- Camera: used when you choose to photograph an entrance or passage detail.
- Photos: used when you choose images to add or explicitly save an overview to your library. Your iOS selection and permission settings control access.
- Microphone: used when you choose to record your own spoken description. You can stop, review, keep or discard the recording.
You can deny or later change these permissions in iOS Settings. Written notes and other available app features do not require you to grant a media permission.
4. Storage and backups
Your display name, selected avatar, venue records, routes, conditions, source notes and their attached photos and recordings are cached on your device and uploaded to the service when synchronization succeeds. Offline edits remain local drafts until a successful retry. The server associates venue records with your device identity. Uploaded avatars and other media use public links: anyone possessing a link may access the file. Do not upload door codes, confidential material or content you are not entitled to share. Hosting notes, practice progress and exported briefings stay local. Profile edits remain local drafts until synchronization succeeds. iOS backups may include local app data according to your device settings.
Only successfully synchronized profiles, venues and media can be restored with the same device identity. A new device, a lost identifier or clearing both copies of the identifier may prevent recovery. There is no email or password recovery flow. Logging out clears the local session and pauses synchronization; it keeps local files and the device identity. Keep exports you need in a place you control.
5. Exports and sharing
When you request an export or save an overview, the selected information is written or shared using the destination shown by iOS. A file saved to Photos, Files, a device backup or another destination is a separate copy governed by that destination and its provider. Recipients may retain copies you send them; deleting a local record cannot recall those copies.
6. Your controls and deletion
You can edit venues and remove their record references. The Clear App Data control first requests removal of your synchronized profile and venue records, then clears local app records and profile. A failed request keeps local files for retry; some server records may already have been removed. Server record deletion is a soft deletion and does not erase uploaded media, the server device identity, service backups, exports, Photos copies or recipients' copies. Removing an attachment only removes its app reference and local copy. Uploaded files may remain accessible by their links. Contact Rovunela@gmail.com for removal requests; the app does not provide complete hosted-account or uploaded-file erasure. Ordinary file deletion is not a guarantee of forensic erasure.
7. Other services
Apple provides iOS and distributes the app. When you open this policy, your browser or in-app web view requests the page from its hosting provider, which may receive ordinary connection information such as an IP address and request details under its own terms. Our service uses hosting and storage providers to serve static images and legal pages, maintain device sessions, store profile and venue records and deliver uploaded media. Network services receive ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, needed to operate and secure the service. Content may be processed outside your country depending on hosting location.
8. Privacy choices
You may choose what to enter, decline optional permissions, edit or clear local information, and decide whether to export or share it. Applicable privacy laws may give you additional rights. Contact Rovunela@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion under applicable law. We may need information to identify your device records; do not email session credentials or sensitive media.
9. Audience
Rovunela is designed for adults organizing familiar gatherings, not for children. Do not include another person's identifiable image, voice or private information unless you have an appropriate basis to do so.
